Twin Falls School District
Dear TFSD Families, Staff, and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We are excited to reopen our doors and welcome students to new opportunities for growth, learning, and thriving.
This year, we are doubling down on two essential goals: strong literacy skills for all students and clear pathways to career and college readiness. Whether your child is learning to read or exploring their future through hands-on experiences in our Career Technical Education programs, our focus remains on preparing every student for success in life.
In this edition of the District Focus, you’ll find links to school supply lists, registration details, and other helpful back-to-school information. We’ve also included short summaries of important policies that we’re required to share with families each year.
Thank you for being part of the TFSD community. Let’s make it a great year, together!
Sincerely,
Dr. Brady Dickinson,
Superintendent of Schools

As we head into the 2025–2026 school year, we would like to remind families that the TFSD Electronic Communication Device Policy, implemented last year, remains in effect. School counselors in the Twin Falls School District support students’ academic success and overall well-being through a variety of short-term, solution-focused services. These may include individual or group counseling, classroom lessons, credit recovery support, class scheduling, career planning, and collaboration with families and school staff. While our counselors do not provide therapeutic counseling, they are available to help students navigate challenges that may arise during the school day. In alignment with Idaho’s Parental Rights laws, we require written permission from a parent or guardian before a student receives counseling services that go beyond standard academic advising. If you did not provide consent during online registration, you can print the permission form and return it to your child’s school office.
When parents and caregivers are actively involved in their child’s education, students thrive. Whether it’s joining the PTA, volunteering at school events, reaching out to teachers, or simply asking your child about their day, your engagement sends a powerful message that education is important. Building strong partnerships between home and school helps students feel supported, improves academic outcomes, and fosters a sense of belonging. No action is too small. Your presence and interest truly make a difference. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, reach out to your child’s school office or visit their website.
